Lifting Black Voices... a Free CE Course

Hello, my dear colleagues.  Now is the time for listening, reflecting, and advocating. Our board sought and engaged a few incredible Black clinicians to share some time with me, so that we could have an opportunity to just listen.

In this panel interview, Dr. Tiffany Crayton, LPC-S, L.J. Lumpkin, LMFT, and La Shanda Sugg, LPC, join me to discuss the world through their eyes... we hear what racism means to them, how it comes into the therapy room, and their ideas about what we do about it. Here are the stories they shared with me... the searing fruit of their emotional labor, their personal and professional clinical experience of being Black in America.

Words can't express how grateful I am for their vulnerability, honesty, and trust.

It's not a coincidence that we released this course today, on Juneteenth... when we asked our panel about the release date, the answer was unanimous: "Yes, it must be done on this day." In lieu of charging for this CE opportunity, we encourage you to make a donation of $8.46 (or more) to one of the organizations mentioned on the course landing page, or to the charity of your choosing... we thank you for your support of mental health resources for BIPOC communities.

(Quick note: If you have a Clearly Clinical membership, you will be automatically enrolled in this free course... if you would like to also make a donation, we encourage you to do so.)

Please join me in just listening about how the world looks through the lenses of these dear Black colleagues.  Dismantling racism starts with each of us, in big ways and in small ways, both out in our communities and on the couches in our offices.

As always, be well, my dear colleagues.
